Eating Healthy

After giving birth to my second son (whom I placed for adoption, full story under the adoption page at the top) I had trouble eating meat. I had trouble with my digestion. I just had a lot of trouble with my health in general. Eating meat became a real struggle for me, I fought the gag reflex each time I tried to eat meat. I decided to become a vegetarian this year and it was a real relief. Once I realized I could get my protein from vegetables and fruits I was hooked. Especially once I learned that I actually didn't need as much protein as I had been drilled to believe I needed. A few months after becoming a vegetarian I watched Forks Over Knives. I was blown away. I decided to make the commitment to become a vegan. I haven't looked back since. I am working my way toward a Raw Food Diet. I have so many friends who ask me, "How can you give up meat?" and I say, "Oh, it's very easy." Well, it is. My health, especially my digestion, has been so much better. I've lost weight, I feel great, why would I want to go back? It's not my desire to convert you or discourage you from eating me. It is my desire to encourage you to eat healthy! I hope that I can set the example. If I can do it, anyone can do it. So if living a healthy, happy, long life is what you want then keep reading. Let's eat our way to happiness and health.
